Featuring 12 classic episodes from 1966 across 3 DVDs, Best of Bandstand Volume 8 includes performances from legendary Aussies such as Billy Thorpe, Johnny O’Keefe, Robyn Alvarez, Jeff St. John, The Delltones, Jacki Weaver, Tony Barber, Normie Rowe, The Groop, The Flanagans and TV great Don Lane in his Bandstand debut. International artists include Folk heroes Peter, Paul and Mary in a rousing special at Festival Hall, US brother and sister act Nino Temple & April Stevens, Wayne Fontana and the soulful P.J. Proby. Also included is Helen Reddy and her auspicious send-off abroad, exclusive footage of host Brian Henderson’s wedding – featuring guests such as Tommy Hanlon Jr, Bobby Limb and Ray Newell, as well as a Bandstand Vietnam War Special – bringing together the talent of local performers such as Col Joye and the Joy Boys, Sandy Scott, Little Pattie and Judy Stone for the benefit of the soldiers serving overseas.
