In the upcoming weeks, we have a dedication Jukebox Saturday Night show for Ken Sparkes that we will be running! Hooray… about time… yes we hear you!!
We must apologise for the delays, however, losing the leader of our small team has left us a little lost…
Today we just wanted to share with you a little bit of never before radio that Ken was putting together with longtime friend and work colleague Brian Newington. Ken and Brian worked together on many a project over the years including a John Laws program promotion that won Australian and international awards.
The project that was yet to be launched was going to be an extension of the TV show… Jukebox Radio! But rather than once a week, it was going to be 24 hours radio streaming channel!
Brian and Ken had put together a number of great audio clips to feature once an hour, plus with all the great REAL music, it couldn’t help but not be a winner.
Brian Newington has kindly spliced together many of Ken’s ins and outs to songs that will give you an idea of how the station/show would have sounded and it includes an array of stories and even some recent dedications from other radio and TV industry professionals about Ken.
