Here are a few old Aussie 60’s commercials including one we love from John Farnham for Tip Top Sunblest Bread. It was a catchy tune and a longer form TV promotion enticing viewers to write the last line of the song to win. Particularly enjoyable are the bread references throughout, crumbs and loaf! In this commercial John Farnham shows the English side of his character.
It is in a way a theatrical performance on his part that has a semi comedic approach. We’re pretty sure John had fun doing this one as even today John is more than happy to go on stage and take the micky out of himself. This was demonstrated recently in the hunter valley when he starred with Lionel Richie and commented about his weight, hair loss.. And yet still performed one of the best presentations we’ve seen… Note for note and perfect timing
